Favorite Educational Quote and Why
"It's alright to make mistakes. Accept that you are going to make mistakes. Learn from them and move on." - Ron Clark

This is what growing up is all about. We all must learn from our mistakes. Failing just makes us learn more and get stronger!
Why I Became A Teacher
As the oldest child of four daughters, I was always helping my little sisters. I naturally learned how to teach growing up. But, I really wanted to be a professional singer!! Every adult I shared my dream with told me to have a back-up plan, so my back-up plan was teaching. When I was finishing high school, I won a full scholarship to college. It was a Teaching Fellows scholarship. This solidified what I was meant to do. I love teaching. I love seeing my students grow and change into successful people!

Favorite Places in Caldwell County
As I live in Watauga County, my favorite spot in Caldwell is the view of Grandfather Mountain & the Viaduct on the drive up Highway 321.

Activites
I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, hiking and camping.

    Read! Read! Read!

The best way for you to grow your brain is to read!

You should be reading something for at least 20 minutes every day at home. You could read your library book, a magazine, newspaper or e-book.
