Experience 
Music is my passion. I’ve been teaching, composing, and performing music for most of my life, and I’m coming up on my 11th year of teaching band in the public school setting. This passion started in high school with me taking private lessons and has opened the door to more amazing ventures like studying at the renown School of Music at UNCG, leading the Steel Drum Band there, and even composing my own works for band which I pass on to my students. Upon graduating and teaching in Charlotte for a few years, I made my way to Gamewell Middle in 2015 and have loved the kids and community here ever since.

Why I Became An Educator
As stated before, music is my passion - a passion this important should be passed down, taught, and shared with the younger generation. This is my goal. I wish these kids have fun while exploring their emotions through music, speaking through music, and to see where music can take them in their lives.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids… from dancing in the living room, to walking, or hiking… time with them is the best!
