Experience
This is my 25th year of teaching. I taught for 21 years in South Carolina. This is my second year Gamewell Middle School. I earned my degree from the University of South Carolina in 1995. In 2010, I earned my National Board Certification in Adolescent Mathematics.

Why I Became An Educator
I have always enjoyed working with children. I use to coach gymnastics for ages 2-18. I seemed to have a "knack" for teaching. Math has always been my strength. I enjoy teaching math because so many students hate it or are scared of math. I want students to understand math and overcome their fears about math. In my class room, mistakes are expected and valued. Mistakes are the stepping stones to understanding. Students learn from mistakes.
Favorite Place in Caldwell County 
I am new to Caldwell County. I have enjoyed taking drives and admiring the beautiful scenery. I love Wilson's Creek and Old John's River.
Activites
I enjoy reading. I love Harry Potter. I also enjoy exploring by car or by foot.
