Students will need an IRB, or independent reading book, for my class asap. I have shown them resources if they need either a physical book or an e-book. They are welcome to use any books from home as well. An assignment will be given on 9-4 about their IRB and due to Plan C, they will have until 9-11 to get it done. THANK YOU!
Email address for students and parents: jennifer.hall2@cabarrus.k12.nc.us
Students must go through Office 365 and into Outlook to email teachers.

My name is Jennifer Hall and I will be your child’s Language Arts for the 2020-2021 school year. I would like to start by telling you a little about myself.
I graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a minor in Art. Later, I received my licensure from UNCC with a post-graduate 4.0! I absolutely love teaching middle schooland feel my niche is the sixth grade.
I am extremely positive and full of energy. I am also very creative, bringing music and art into my classroom whenever possible. I myself am a singer, a multi-media artist, a multi-genre writer and an avid reader. I have been happily married for twenty-four years and have a son, Aidan, who is a 9th grader this year.
I tell you all of that to tell you this. The person I am today is due in part to the devoted teachers I had as astudent. They shared their knowledge and passions with me. I am this kind of teacher. I teach Language Arts but I am not limited to these alone. When I can, I teach life lessons as well. I expose my students to the wide world around us and we discuss our roles in it. This is why I teach- to imprint on my students an experience that will last a lifetime.
My family, friends and students are my life. I am very excited about this year and am looking so forward to the adventure! Please feel free to contact me anytime! Welcome to my class and to Northwest!
