Welcome! This is my 21st year at NCMS and 23rd year of teaching. I graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a BS and MS in Chemistry. I received my teaching certificate in math and science a year later. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I look forward to having a wonderful year teaching science.
As we enter into a new school year, of course there are many unknowns. But with these unknowns comes my love of education and science and I hope you will rest easy in knowing that to be true! We will all do our best to make this school year fantastic.
Communication between teacher and student as well as teacher and parent/guardian will be even more critical this year. Please take the time to fill out the "Student Information Form" so we know the best way to reach you. Have more than one student on our team? Please fill out the form two times. Most of you completed this form when you visited one of our Team's rooms during Open House. Thank you!
Your child will receive a Science Syllabus and a Science Safety Contract. Please take time to read over both of these documents and sign both sides. Digital versions are also provided (Syllabus and Safety Contract here. To access the Science Standard Course of Study, click HERE.
