• POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS & SUPPORT (PBIS)

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a systematic approach in teaching behavioral expectations to students.  It is based on a proactive model which teaches the behaviors, reinforces expectations, and recognizes students who are able to model these behaviors.  Systems are put in place to address behavior issues that impact student achievement.
Northwest Cabarrus Middle School has three school-wide expectations:
    • Be Respectful
    • Be Responsible
    • Be Safe

More information about our PBIS incentives and different ways we recognize our students for good behavior can be found in our monthly digital newsletters located on the school webpage.
