Hello!

So we are entering the second quarter and will be working on several things.  We will contine to analyze our novels for content and understanding.

This quarter will also bring a unit in writing. A narrative will be developed and processed as we work on writing mechanics and paragraph structure.

iReady will also continue to be utilized over this time.  Remember, you can work on this at home too :) 

I'm looking forward to a great 2nd quarter in ELA!

Well the year is getting off to a good start!  Just a reminder to bring a novel/chapter book to class as we will be exploring our character's traits and providing evidence to support them. 

What a great start to the school year!  The students have been doing a great job in class so far.  We are looking forward to getting deeper into our reading and writing.  In the coming weeks, the classes will be going to the Media Center and learning how to check out books as well as, exploring what other resources the media center can provide. 

Remember:  We will be sharing a paper bag project on Monday!  Can't wait to hear about them :)
