The district relies on Educational Programs and Operations levy dollars for arts integration, STEM, Spanish dual immersion, and other specialized programs and extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, theatre, music, etc.).  More than half of the funding for classified staff for grounds, operations, facilities, school security and health support are paid with local levy dollars.  100% of funds for student mental health support are paid for with local levy dollars.

Since passing our first capital levy in 2012, we’ve tackled some big projects such as the renovation of the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center and the demolition of Old East High. Local capital levy dollars also allow us to maintain and replace roofs, keep our HVAC, fire, electrical and plumbing systems operating, and provide funds for playground improvements.
