Welcome to my profile page.  I have been an educator for 20 years, and have taught at Roosevelt Middle School for 5 years.  I have a BA in Communications from Biola University in La Mirada, CA, a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, as well as a Single Subject Credential in Social Sciences.  I also have taken significant coursework in Applied Linguistics.  From 1993-1997 and 1998-2005, I taught grades 4, 6, 7, and 8 at a local private Armenian School.  During those years, I wore various hats, including Student Council Advisor, WASC Accreditation Coordinator, teacher mentor, and curriculum coach.  In 1997, I taught 5th grade in Colorado Springs, CO, where our 2nd son was born.  Besides teaching history at Roosevelt, I coach football and basketball, and coordinate the annual spelling bee.  I also serve on three Instructional Leadership committees.  My wife, Yanira, and I, and our 3 sons, Adam, Jared, and Nathaniel, live in the Glendale area.
