Bio: I have taught 8th grade U.S. History at Roosevelt since 2004, as well as 7th grade history, yearbook, and ASB. I have a B.A. degree in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley, an M.A. degree in History from Cal State Los Angeles, a Ph.D. in History from Claremont Graduate University, and have published historical articles on the history of Los Angeles and immigration. 

I hope to provide the best possible opportunities for your student to gain a foundational understanding about U.S. history, the skills necessary to critically think about why things are the way they are, and to realize the power they have to make change things, build, and create!  I seek to provide support and resources for your student so they may learn and grow to their full potential.
