Non-Medical Vaccination Exemption Update

On June 13, 2019, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed legislation removing non-medical exemptions from school vaccination requirements for children. There is no longer a religious exemption to the requirement that children are to be vaccinated against measles and other diseases to attend pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in a public, private or parochial setting or to be enrolled in daycare.

Fairport High School MasterMinds team finishes second in regional playoffs, wins Rochester League 10

The Fairport High School MasterMinds Team finished second in the Rochester Regional Playoffs. The team went 8-2 in the playoffs, losing only to Brighton (twice). Henry Stringer was named to the All Tournament Team and Henry and Connor Quimby were named League 10 all stars.

MasterMinds is a quiz bowl-style academic competition for high school students.

The Fairport Central School District’s District Wide Safety Plan (Quick Reference Guide) is currently under a 30-day review. Comments may be sent to the District Clerk by emailing alabarbera@fairport.org.

The Public Hearing for the safety plan will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 6:45 p.m.
