IXL available to Fairport students K-8 this summer
Fairport students in grades K-8 will have access to IXL programming during the summer months this year. IXL supports standards-based learning and can help parents and guardians gain insight into student progress.
Martha Brown’s Dave Dunn to retire as principal after 45 years at Fairport CSD
Dave Dunn leads with his heart. It’s part of his personal and professional philosophy, and the guiding principles by which he steers the staff at Martha Brown Middle School (MB): lead with the heart, embrace relationships and never stop growing.
Dunn credits those principles for what he calls his “great journey” –
Martha Brown students represent region in MathCounts competition
Two major mathematicians at Martha Brown nabbed statewide honors earlier this spring. Six Martha Brown students participated in MathCounts, a national competition sponsored by NASA, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Society of Professional Engineers. A MathCounts competition involves solving unique and difficult math problems individually as well as with a team.

January Regents Exams Cancelled
This week, the Board of Regents Chancellor Betty Rosa announced that all New York high school Regents exams scheduled for January will be canceled. No decisions have been made regarding the June and August 2022 administrations of Regents Examinations or any other State assessment programs.

Fairport’s ‘Make a Difference’ campaign donates more than $14,000 to Veterans Outreach Center
The Fairport school community is giving back to local veterans this week as part of another successful fundraising effort from the District’s annual Make a Difference (MAD) campaign.
Fairport, in conjunction with Crazy Dog T-Shirts, presented a check totaling $14,160 to Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) of Rochester on November 8.
Students will be dismissed 10 minutes early on Thursday, Oct. 7
All students will be released 10 minutes early on Thursday, Oct. 7 for the District’s annual drill required by New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations.
This drill also coincides with the District’s Safety Week, Oct. 12-15, in which students will learn and practice emergency safety drills. Fairport Schools practice these drills to refine communication processes,
