Providing a safe, supportive environment free from violence, harassment, bullying or discrimination for students is our number one priority in the Fairport Central School District. There are occasionally times when students, parents or community members would like to provide information to a school but hesitate. FCSD will be closed Jan. 31, budget meeting canceled
Fairport Central School District will be closed Thursday, Jan. 31 due to winter weather conditions. This includes all extracurricular activities.
In addition, the Learning Links will be closed Wednesday evening and all day Thursday.

PM activities canceled for Jan. 30
All Fairport CSD afternoon activities are canceled for Jan. 30. All students will be bused home today. No students are to walk home in the winter weather. Alternatively, parents may pick up students from their schools.
Keeping students safe during winter weather
Weather in the Rochester area is unpredictable and, at times, extreme. The decision to close schools based on forecast weather is not an easy one, as the district’s commitment to educate students comes second only to keeping students and staff safe.
Low temperatures and deep wind chills are forecast for the region in the coming days.
Community Group Budget Meeting canceled

Fairport community members have opportunities to provide input on the upcoming 2019-20 budget development process. Residents are encouraged to attend the the Community Group Budget Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.
Green screen, technology bring JP storm project to life
Every Johanna Perrin sixth-grader recently gained first-hand experience in producing a newscast, the culmination of researching different storms and then creating a newscast to share facts.
JP Librarian Beth Puckett worked closely with sixth-grade science teachers Marta Frank and Janet King to revamp their storms project.
“We wanted students to be able to do a weather report like they might see on the news,” said Puckett.
All activities, events after 2 p.m. Saturday canceled; District to reopen Tuesday, Jan. 22
Due to the winter weather forecast, all school activities and events scheduled to begin after 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 have been canceled.
