Fairport High School recognized in 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best High School Rankings

Fairport High School is one of the best in the nation according to the annual U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best High Schools Rankings released on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

The publication evaluated more than 17,700 public high schools across the country. According to the report, Fairport High School ranked 1,296 on the list of best schools in the country,

Instruction & Total Draft #2 Budget with Revenues presented to Board, April 21

Fairport High School Senior Recognized with National “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” Award

In an effort to promote interest in chemistry among young women, Iota Sigma Pi, the national honor society for women in chemistry, has presented 46 female high school students with the “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” award.  Recipients of the award show high academic achievement in chemistry.

Fairport High School Senior Amy Ruan is one of the recipients of the “Outstanding Young Women in Chemistry” award.

Transportation childcare request forms due by April 1

Per New York State Education Law 3635, applications for transportation to/from childcare and nonpublic schools are due by April 1 each year. There is no need to complete transportation forms for children attending Fairport schools if they will be transported to/from home. Please complete one form per child. The applications for nonpublic schools require the signature of the principal.

2020 Census

The Fairport Central School District is partnering with the U.S. Census Bureau to make sure the community is accurately represented in the 2020 Census, a nationwide population count taken every 10 years. The 2020 Census invitation postcards will be mailed to homes beginning on March 12, 2020. Census data determines the allocation of more than $675 billion in federal funding to states and communities for the next 10 years,
