    Senior Exemptions

    • Seniors can’t exempt a state-made exam
    • Seniors can only exempt a teacher-made final exam.  Below are the stipulations that are outlined in the Student Handbook:
      • A first or second semester senior may be exempted from taking the final examinations in each class for which the following conditions are met:
        • the student earns at least a “B” average (80) in a particular course by averaging their grade in quarter 3 with their current grade in quarter 4 together.
        • maintains three or fewer absences for the semester (does not matter if it is excused or unexcused)
          • Absences that were due to quarantine do not count towards the 3 absences. Those absences must have been coded as such in our system. Please see Ms. Williams to verify a particular student’s information.
        • the student receives no suspensions during the semester.
      • Exemption is optional. If a qualifying student wishes to take an examination from which he/she is exempt, the student may do so. The final examination grade for a student qualifying for the exemption will be used only if it improves the student’s grade in the course.
      • The final grade of a student opting not to take the final examination will be computed based on the tests and course work completed during that term.
      • At least two days before the examination period, teachers must notify students who qualify for an exam exemption.
      • A qualifying student must notify the teacher of whether they intend to take the examination at least one day prior to the examination.
      • Students who qualify for exam exemptions are expected to continue to attend classes and complete all assignments.

    Transportation and Lunch

    • Bus transportation will continue to be provided to and from school for those students that normally ride.
    • Students will have the opportunity to pick up a lunch at the end of each testing session.
