NEW NCDOL Youth Work Permit Process
Cabarrus County Schools Policy 3460 - Graduation Requirements. Use the 4 Year Plan with the graduation requirements to plan your high school schedule.
This is a good way for students to keep track of the courses they have taken in high school and to plan for the courses they wish to take in future years. Keep track of the courses you earn and how you are progressing to meet graduation requirements.
Cabarrus County Schools recommends students successfully complete a 3 course sequence in a Career Pathway, JROTC, Arts Education, World Languages, or other cross-disciplinary area (Core subjects, College and Career Promise). See Mrs. Poole or your school counselor for advice on preparing for your future after high school.
MPHS Internship Packet (for credit)
Internships are a great way for juniors and seniors to receive on-the-job training while earning school credit. All internships must be approved by Mrs. Poole during the normal course registration process in the Spring.
Why should you take the WorkKeys test?
See the attached file for Frequently Asked Questions concerning WorkKeys.
WorkKeys is a 3 part test given to all NC seniors who complete a Career Cluster. Work Keys helps evaluate career readiness in three areas: Graphic Literacy, Applied Math, and Workplace Documents.
Business and Industry leaders say students don't know how to dress appropriately for the work place. CCS students work on soft skills during the school year. This PowerPoint will help educate how to dress for success.
