Dr. Samuel Lemoine

Hi! This is my first year at MPHS. I've been teaching in North Carolina at the High School and University levels since the 2007-2008 school year. This year my classes are Earth Science and Physical Science, but over the years I've instructed these classes plus Chemistry (Standard, Honors, IB, & AP), Physics, Biology, Botany, Forensics, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Before becoming a teacher, I am proud to have served honorably as an Active Duty member of the United States Air Force and served during the first Gulf War.

I grew up in New Orleans, but I've lived all over the United States. I've lived so long in North Carolina that I consider myself a native at this point. I'm married to Emily (pastor at a local church), and I have 3 great kids and 1 awesome grandchild (with another on the way)! We moved to the area from High Point about a year ago, and after hearing so many friends and neighbors brag about Mount Pleasant High School I decided that I needed to join the team! I'm excited to work with some great young scholars here at MPHS!
