North Carolina's Department of Public Instruction adopted a new Career Pathway model in the 2020-21 school year.  Pathways are simply smaller groups of jobs within a career cluster that use similar skills. Each career cluster includes several career pathways. You can start in a lower-lever job in a career pathway and, with more education and experience, move up within that pathway.

 

HRHS offers many courses that are aligned to careers within many of the pathways.  Career Pathways that can be completed at Hickory Ridge High School currently include:

- Biomedical Technology 

- Drafting Architectural 

- Drafting Engineering

- Entrepreneurship 

- Food and Nutrition

- General Management

- Healthcare Professional 

- Interior Design

- Plant Systems

- Sport and Event Marketing 

- Travel & Tourism
