Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. D'Aulan McCord
This is my seventeenth year of teaching, a second career I ventured into after working in the Mental Health field with children for years. A California native, I received my Associate in Arts degree from Diablo Valley College, my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University, and completed my teaching coursework through the Fortune School of Education. I have lived in North Carolina for 12 years and obtained my Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I was Central Cabarrus High School's 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year and was a top 5 finalist for Teacher of the Year for Cabarrus County Schools.
I love teaching and take pride in the positive relationships I create with my students. I am looking forward to working with you all this year!

Participation activities, progress monitoring assignments, and quizzes are typically due on the day that they are assigned. I will evaluate if additional time is needed for quizzes on a case-by-case basis. Classwork assignments are due the Friday that they are assigned. However, students have until the following Friday to submit any late assignments without penalty. After that, they assignments will be closed and will no longer be accepted.
