Mr. Chris Jeffrey
Welcome back to the 2021/2022 school year. I hope that you all are healthy and safe. This school year is going to be quite different than anyone alive today has ever experienced before. There are going to be adjustments to our school year along the way. All that I ask of you is to do your best to make the adjustment and I will do the same. I know there are going to be situations that come up that are out of your control. I will do my best to be understanding of each and every one of your situations, and I hope you can do the same for me.
I want to take this time to introduce myself to those of you whom I have not had the chance to meet and update those whom I have. My name is Chris Jeffrey and I am starting my 22nd year teaching math. I have been at AACHS since it reopened its door roughly 10 years ago and I was at La Sierra High School before that. At our school you will be taking Business Math, Math Acceleration, or PE with me.
Personally, I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 15 years and together we have 3 wonderful children: Christopher, Blake, and Madison. Being physically active is very important to me. I enjoy a variety of sports, but football, hockey and golf are the ones that I enjoy the most. I am a high school football official and have just begun taking martial arts classes. My favorite professional teams are the New York Giants and the New Jersey Devils. When I am not filling my day teaching one of my favorite things to do is cook. It is a great way to express myself creatively and relieve stress (nothing like chopping an onion).
Lastly, I wanted you to know that our school is a very special place to be. I truly believe that our school can change your life for the better if you let it. The teachers and staff at our school will guide you through your classes, but more importantly, we will be there to hear you. Although academics are important, we feel building healthy relationships with your peers, teachers and most importantly, yourself are the most important things we can help you achieve. I want to encourage you to reach out to me or anyone else on campus if you need any assistance. I know this is going to be a school year like no other, but as in life, we will adjust and make the best out of the situation.
Grateful to be your teacher,
Chris Jeffrey
