FAB 5 "Promotion" Parade
Mrs. O’Reilly’s FAB 5 students were surprised on Monday and Tuesday when Mrs. Whitworth and Mrs. O’Reilly showed up to celebrate the end of fifth grade and their promotion to sixth grade. The fifth-grade promotion assembly was canceled at school, but the fifth-grade teachers honored their students in another way. Mrs. Whitworth and Mrs. O’Reilly left the elementary parking lot at 3:00 on Monday afternoon. Armed with addresses and maps from Mr. Alan Tipton, PC Transportation Director, the FAB 5 teachers set out to visit as many of our students as possible. The teachers arrived at each student’s house and presented them with their promotion certificates, special awards, and a small gift to celebrate their accomplishments. Mrs. Whitworth and Mrs. O had planned to visit everyone on Monday but had to visit some of the students at a later date because we ran out of time. After many miles and lots of visits, the teachers stopped at 10:30 on Monday night but continued on Tuesday and Wednesday.
