Mrs. Melanie Rathke

Welcome to Sixth Grade at Concord Middle School.  Mrs. Rathke is excited about working with you this year as you begin your middle school journey.  She grew up in Cabarrus County and graduated from Central Cabarrus High School.  She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she is currently in her twenty-fifth year of teaching.  She has taught in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and in Berlin, Germany.  This is her second year at Concord Middle.  Prior to coming to CMS, she taught for thirteen years at Harrisburg Elementary (third and fourth grades).  She has been married for thirty-two years and has three daughters; Nicole (27), Allie (22) and Caitlin (20).  She also has a sweet malti-poo named Charlie! She loves the beach and spending time with her family!
