B.S. Middle Grade Education with a minor in History and a concentration in English

Mr. Chad Wilson

I am a product of moving around, because my father was in the Air Force and my time in the Army. I have lived in t NC since I was 12, although my family have been here since 1770. I went to Northwest Cabarrus and graduated in 1993. After some time as a motorcycle mechanic and unsuccesful bike racer, I joined the Army and have been to a number of different countries. Once back home I worked as a paramedic in both Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties for almost 12 years. I decided to use my GI Bill and follow my heart into teaching. I graduated in 2016 from UNCC with honors. I taught at Kannapolis Middle School for a few years, before joining the Mount Pleasant Middle School family. I believe that my life experiences helps me relate to all different types of people. My life experiences help when teaching as I can bring practical examples to the students when they are wanting to know "why".

Please have students logging on by 9am every morning and answering the daily role question. We will be doing live classes through Microsft Teams. All students have been added to the classes and will receive an invite a few minutes before the class begins. These will take place during the normally scheduled class times. If a student misses a class, they will be able to see the days lessons on CANVAS in the "Modules" section. I will post all notes used in class under CANVAS.

Beginning on August 24 we will be recording lessons. If you would not like for your student to be recorded, you will need to contact the office and request an "Opt-Out" form.

My office hours are Monday-Thurs 9-3:15. It is easiest to get in touch with me through email. I try to answer all emails within 24 hours.

I know this can be a confusing and stressful time. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
