• ELA/Social Studies Grading and Corrections Policy

Corrections:  Students may make corrections to most assignments as long as the assignment has been submitted complete and on time. Students who submit the original assignment on time will be given 10 school days to make corrections. Due dates for corrections will be posted on the announcement board. Students have the opportunity to receive full credit for corrected work.

      Guidelines:

      1. Students may not correct rubric graded assignments on which the rubric was discussed in class prior to completion of the assignment and/or students are given the opportunity to make corrections and improvements throughout the activity.

      2. Students may make corrections to assignments with an original score of less than 100%, not including points lost for convention errors.

      3. Students will not be allowed to earn back points lost on conventions (spelling, punctuation, capitalization, sentence fragments, etc.).

      How to Correct an Assignment:

      1. Students must make corrections on the Google Form linked here and then submit the form.

      Tests/Quizzes:

In some cases, students will be able to make corrections to tests or quizzes in the same manner as described above. In other cases, a retest will be offered. Please refer to the announcement board (on core teachers’ webpages) for information about any tests or quizzes that can be corrected.

Students will receive full credit for the corrected work as long as they follow the above guidelines.

**No grade below 50% is given at Roberta Road. Please refer to the comments in PowerSchool to see comments for any grades recorded as 50%.**

Students are responsible for turning in their work and for checking their grades in Powerschool.  Late work will not be accepted 10 school days past the original due date. It will become an automatic 50/F once the 10 days pass.
