Ms. Qiao Tan

Hi! I am a 6th grade Mandarin teacher, teaching QQH (globalization) and social studies in Mandarin at RRMS. I am super excited to work with Raptor families and Participate Learning this year to integrate cultural scenes and content literacy into Mandarin classes. And I cannot wait to build up a positive learning environment with all students and families where students can develop their 10 core global leadership competencies: critical thinking, valuing differences, understanding of global issues, global connection, intercultural understanding, curiosity, communication, empathy, self-awareness, and flexibility.  

I got my MSc in International Management at the University of Strathclyde in the UK and BA in English at Sichuan International Studies University in China.  

I have been teaching in China for 9 years at both elementary and middle schools in math, Chinese, English and social studies.  

I have been married for 10 years and have a 7-year-old son. And I love to spend time with my family and friends, exercising, traveling, and hiking. 

I hope this year we can establish a caring and harmonious community together, so that everyone can be inspired and motivated to learn and grow every day. 

Looking forward to building our own museum with numerous wonderful moments here at RRMS.
