• Student Chromebook Issue Repair Process

    1. All Chromebook issues must be submitted through a technology work order using their assigned Chromebook, if possible.

    • If using a friend’s Chromebook or a teacher’s classroom Chromebook to submit a work order then the student needs to login to the device using their own username/password

    1. When the school technology team can assess the issue the student’s Chromebook screen will display a lock screen during homeroom saying “Please bring your device to the media center to address the issue in your work order”.

      • If the work order stated an issue with the screen then the technology team will assume that the student will be unable to see the lock screen and someone will call for the student during homeroom.
      • Please understand that work orders may not be addressed until the following school day.

         3. The Chromebook issue will be fixed or the Chromebook will be swapped for a new device

    • If the device needs swapped out then the collected device will be assessed for damage and if necessary, fees will be added to the student’s account and the student will be informed of the repair fee.

         4. Repair fees can be paid online using the online K12 Payment Center, by check made out to Roberta Road Middle School or cash. Cash and checks should be turned into the media center.
