       My name is Carla Looney.  I am very excited to be teaching Kindergarten!   I was born and raised in Concord.  I received my teaching degree at UNC Charlotte.  My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 22 years.  We have two wonderful children.  My oldest son is 16 years old and will be a Junior in high school.  My youngest son is 12 years old and will be in 7th grade.  When I'm not at school, I'm on the ball field watching my boys play baseball.   For fun and relaxation, our family loves to camp in our RV.

This will be my 20th year teaching in Cabarrus County Schools.  I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade.  I spent my first 11 years teaching at WM Irvin Elementary, followed by 6 years at Patriots STEM Elementary, and this will be my 3rd year at R Brown Stem Elementary.
