Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a system that promotes proactive behavioral strategies to support our student’s success academically, socially, and emotionally within our school building. NCHS began implementation of PBIS in 2015 and continue to add supports. |

At NCHS, we are working to sustain school-wide expectations in the areas of being safe, being responsible, and being respectful throughout different areas in our building, including the classroom, washrooms, cafeteria, and hallways. Students are explicitly taught what it means to be safe, responsible, and respectful everywhere in our school and positive student behavior is acknowledged daily. Our expectation matrix is displayed throughout our building in a variety of ways and can be accessed using the link in the left side bar of this page. All students are eligible to participate in PBIS. Students and staff can write a Trojan Shout Out to acknowledge positive behavior, which will then be displayed in our main hallway and included in the daily announcements. |
