Those members were: Carsen S, Justin W, Maggi F, Cole R, Tori G, Garret M, and Grant M. Also attending was the FFA Advisor, Randy Morris. Wednesday consisted of traveling and eating a good meal at supper time.
On Thursday, October 31, 2019, members got up early to go visit hundreds of exhibitors at the career show and exposition. Members spent hours viewing the exhibits and speaking with exhibitors about new technologies in agriculture as well as colleges and job opportunities. The Putnam County County FFA group attended a general session at Lucas Oil Stadium in the afternoon and attended a Brett Young concert that night.
On Friday, November 1st, members returned to the expo to see more exhibitors they had missed before. Members attended a workshop about how to be better leaders. Then they departed to go to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Museum. Students took a lap around the historic track and learned some history behind the track. Afterward, members attended the National FFA Talent Show Finals and watch the evening convention session which had keynote speaker Michelle Poler.
On Saturday, November 2, members attended the American Degree Ceremony where we watched alumni Joel Sporleder receive his American FFA Degree. Alumni Amy McLaughlin also received her American Degree but was unable to attend. We are so proud of you, Joel and Amy! National Convention was a great experience for all members and a great learning opportunity.
