Creating Opportunities Through Quality Education
How we're doing; by the numbers.
Sometimes we forget to appreciate our advantages. If you've had a visitor from out of town, they may have been shocked at the degree of personal safety we enjoy. Clean air and water are things we take for granted along with gorgeous scenery and friendly neighbors. Our outstanding school system with its excellent facilities and highly qualified staff is exceptional, especially for a community of this size. Keeping up with an ever-changing world of technology and equipping our graduates to compete in college and the workplace is our constant objective. Putting Chromebooks into the hands of all students grades 6-12 was an innovation that has proven very successful. Enrollment dropped a bit from 681 students in 2016 to 655 in 2017. Regardless of a smaller student population, progress continues. Our APR, Academic Progress Rate, has shown the largest increase of any area school. We're especially proud of middle and high school teacher Megan Hines who has been named Secondary Art Educator of the Year; Mrs. Hines is also a PCR-I graduate. To put things into perspective, here's a breakdown comparison of the past two school years. We're on a positive track and continue to move forward to make sure our promise of a quality education is kept.
