    AGENDA

Motion to approve minutes from March by Terra S. 2nd by Julie B. minutes for March approved.

Next meeting will not be until September 20th

    Business

    • TSSA Expenditure Review

Budget is on track with tech expenditures.

    • TL Expenditure Review

We have $332.31 left. We had a part of the Trustlands leave the budget because we had an excess amount that the district monitored and reclaimed. We now have 1.13% of the budget left in TL.

    • TL 2023-2024 Proposed Plan was approved by the district and so our goals, as we discussed in March, are now in effect for the 23-24 school year.

-Sidewalks: With new construction around our area, sidewalks are required by the developers. The remaining sidewalks in built areas will be covered by a grant that the city will apply for and will be used to get sidewalks on our identified most needed streets for safe student walking to the school.

-Parent Input: Survey concerns included behavior support as well as recognition for good behavior. We have our positive character ticket drawings each month.

We would like to add onto it by having a poster board with pictures of the kids who are being acknowledged for these positive character behaviors i.e. kindness, perseverance, sharing.

Each class has two kids per month for the posterboard (roughly 18 kiddos)

Award assembly (fast one) each month to introduce the next month’s character theme and recognize student excellence. Invite parents to these assemblies.

Another thought is to bring back WatchDog, the dad specific volunteer program. The hope is to have it so it is worth it for everyone, meaning they have things to do in the classrooms and we have a way to schedule them effectively.

Back to School Night: Do we want to do a parent assembly as part of Back-to-School Night? Go over PTA, Free lunch, introduce faculty….etc. and after this general assembly let the parents meet the teachers.

We can also do an open house still a couple of days before school starts…a couple of hours, informal, to let kids and parents peek in and see the class.

Another suggestion is to have a Back-to-School Night a few days after school has started.

    Safety

Drop off and pick up has improved.

West parking lot is still being used for pick up.
