    blankenship
     
    Mr. Eric Blankenship
    Director of Bands
     
    Mr. Blankenship is in his 21st year as Director of Bands at Troy Buchanan High school where he oversees all aspects of the band program. He directs the symphonic band, ninth grade concert band, marching band, the jazz band and jazz ensemble, and teaches AP music theory. Additionally, he assists at Troy Middle School, where he works with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands.
     
    Mr. Blankenship attended Truman State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance, and a Master of Arts in Education. Prior to his appointment in Troy, he spent four years as the Assistant Band Director at Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Blankenship is married to Molly, and they have two children, Max and Mallory.

     barchesky
     
    Mr. Chris Barchesky
    Associate Director of Bands
     
    Mr. Barchesky is in his 8th year as Associate Director of Bands at Troy Buchanan High School. He directs the concert band and ninth grade concert band, assists with marching band, and teaches guitar classes. Additionally, he assists at Troy South Middle School and Troy Middle School, where he works with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands.

    Mr. Barchesky earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Music Education (summa cum laude), Master’s of Education in Music Education with a focus in wind conducting, and Educational Specialist in Mental Health Practices in Schools from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the band staff at Troy, Mr. Barchesky taught for five years as the Assistant Director of Bands in the Sullivan School District in Sullivan, Missouri. He also served as a part-time band director in the Columbia Public Schools while he pursued his master's degree.

    Dr. Tracy Thomas
    Troy South Middle School Band Director
     
    Dr. Thomas is in his 13th year as a band director in the Lincoln County R-III School District and his 7th year as the Director of Bands at Troy South Middle School. He oversees all aspects of the TSMS band program and teaches band for grades 6-8. Additionally, Dr. Thomas assists with the Trojan Pride Drumline at Troy Buchanan High School.

    Pieper 
     
    Mr. Chris Pieper
    Troy Middle School Band Director
     

    Mr. Pieper is in his second year as a band director in the Lincoln County R-3 School district.  He is the Director of Bands at Troy Middle School.  He directs the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade bands and also directs the Middle School Jazz Band, along with assisting with the Trojan Pride Marching Band.  

    Mr. Pieper earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music and his Master of Arts in Education from Truman State University.  He holds memberships in the National Association for Music Education and the Percussive Arts Society.  Prior to his appointment at Troy Middle School, Mr. Pieper taught in the Mehlville School District in St. Louis County for 9 years, and the Bowling Green R-1 School District for 3 years.  

    Mr. Pieper is married to Meghan, and they have two children, Bennett and Eleanor.
