Lincoln Elementary School

Allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Holly Hite, and I joined the Lincoln County R-III team as Principal at Lincoln Elementary School in 2014. I’d like to share with you a little about myself and my family. I was born and raised in southern Minnesota and relocated to Troy in 1999. Since that time, I have been blessed with a wonderful and supportive family and we are happy to call Troy our home. We thoroughly enjoy spending time together, whether its fishing, camping, baseball, basketball or softball.

Professionally, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. In December, 2019, I earned my Doctorate's Degree from Maryville University.  I worked in the Wentzville School District from 2003-2014, where I began my education career as a first grade teacher at Heritage Primary School. After five years teaching first grade, I had the opportunity to "loop" with a group of students to second grade. This allowed me the opportunity to challenge my skills as a teacher, as well as implement a successful language inclusion program within the classroom to support students who were at-risk in education. In April of 2010, I proudly accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Lakeview Elementary in the Wentzville School District, where I served for four years.

It is an extraordinary opportunity and responsibility to continue the Lincoln Elementary customs and values, and also an opportunity to create lasting relationships and new traditions as well. Building strong relationships, team work and open communication will be the focus of my service. My vision is one that entails that all students, teachers, support staff and community are actively engaged in the learning process and that our students’ social, emotional, and academic needs are put first each and every day.

As Principal, I will dedicate my service to promoting and fulfilling the Lincoln County R-III School District mission of, "educating students to achieve excellence through trusting relationships and superior instruction."
