Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff, and Members of the Community,                      

Hello. I am Mrs. Champion, principal at Claude Brown Elementary. I am married with two children; Kaysen and Kamey. I went to school in Troy and continue to live here as well.

Prior to becoming principal at CBE, I taught fifth grade for nine years within the district. In addition, I have served as a department head, mentor, professional development committee representative, and Core Academic Standards leadership team member in the Lincoln County R-3 School District. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, a master’s degree in Educational Administration, and am working toward my educational specialist degree also in Educational Administration.

I am very excited to begin this journey in my career in the district that I know and love and cannot wait to meet all the students who will attend CBE. As I encourage you to check out the “vision” for Claude Brown Elementary to understand the focus we will strive for, there are several things I want to mention in which I expect from myself, staff members, and each student. We should always do our best, use our manners, be respectful, work hard to achieve our goals, and communicate openly and honestly with one another. With that being said, my door is always open. I would love to hear your ideas and encourage the community to join in and become a part of our family here at CBE!
