Ancient Facts on File/Early River Valley Civilizations

For this project, you will design a “fact folder” that contains information on two of the early river valley civilizations. This project will require both written information andpictures. Please see the assignment attached below for specific information and requirements.

Resources:

Destiny Quest    ONLINE LIBRARY CATALOG

  • Login using your network username/password (top right of page)
  • Search for materials using keywords (e.g. early river civilizations, Indus Valley Civilization, ancient china, etc.).
  • Click on the “Web Site” tab (in the top right) after each search for credible Internet resources

  • Link to EasyBib through your school email account

 

Easybib Quick Reference Guide:

  • Log into Easybib through Fairport Apps mail
  • Click “More” and select “Easybib”
  • Select “New project”
  • Name your project
  • Keep MLA as default style
  • Click “Create”
  • Select “Bibliography” under project title
  • Notice source tabs
  • Select tab corresponding to your source type
  • Cite your sources
  • When all sources have been inputted, create your Works Cited list by selecting “Export,” then “Print as a word document,” then “Download for MS Word”

Hints:

  • To cite a book, use the ISBN # (found on back of book) instead of book title
  • Copy and paste the website url to cite a website
  • To Cite a database, do not copy and paste database url; select correct database type and input required info.
  • If you are citing the Classroom Videos on Demand or Ancient and Medieval History Online databases, use the “Export to Easybib” option
