I grew up in Caldwell County and attended college at Lenoir Rhyne University.  I graduated from LRU with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2013. 

I began my teaching career at Viewmont Elementary School in Hickory, NC.  I taught 5th grade at Viewmont for 6 years.   

My goal has always been to teach in the county where I grew up. I was thrilled to get the opportunity to teach kindergarten at Granite Falls Elementary.  I have always had a special place in my heart for Kindergarten. 

My husband and I are happy fur-parents to three wonderful dogs!  I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
