I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Music Degree, Elementary Music in 1992 and have taught music since then with the exception of the six years I stayed at home with my children. I have taught the majority of my time in Caldwell County, and two years in Lincoln County.  In 2010, I earned my Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Educational Media from Appalachian State University. I have a son who is a student at Western Carolina University, and a son who is a senior in high school.

I have completed Orff Levels I, II, and III. I am a member of Professional Educators of North Carolina, National Association for Music Education, and North Carolina Music Educators Association.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy photography, music, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
