Hello! My name is Lauren Vines and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year at Granite Falls Elementary School! I taught at Kings Creek School for two years in 1st grade and 5th grade. I recently moved to this area and I'm looking forward to being a part of the community! I have a great passion for teaching and love working with students to help them learn and grow into the best they can be.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University in 2019. I also obtained a Masters Degree in Reading Education in May of 2021 with a special concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders. 

For the 2020-2021 school year, I was honored to be selected as Caldwell County Schools' Rookie Teacher of the Year. I am so humbled to have received this honor and owe it all to the Lord and my students for helping me be the best teacher I can be! I am always striving to be better, serve more, and do everything I can to support my students. 

I look forward to an amazing year in 3rd grade!!!
