I have a daughter, Kaylee, and a son, Trace. My children are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2001. I worked for J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center as a Recreational Therapist for 5 years. While working there, I went back to school to receive my teaching certificate in Adapted Special Education. I am a huge advocate for inclusion. I started Special Olympics Unified Champions at GFES in 2017.  We became a Special Olympics National Banner school in 2018.  In my free time, I coach swimming for our county's Special Olympics team.  My family loves to watch sports. I am a huge Dallas Cowboys, Appalachian State University football fan, and a UNC basketball fan.  During summer, you can find me by our pool reading a book, at a swim meet, or at a water park!
