Welcome to 1st Grade!!

 I am so excited your child is at Odell Primary! 

First grade will be a huge growth year for your child. Your child will jump more reading levels this year than in any other grade. First grade students also gain a wonderful basis for number sense in math and will be learning a variety of problem solving strategies.  It is truly such a reward to see how much they grow from the beginning until the end of 1st grade!

A little bit about me:

I have taught in Cabarrus County for many years, in 1st and 2nd grade and also in middle school.  I have a degree in Elementary Education and also in Social Work. When I'm not at school, I enjoy shopping, the beach, mountains and being at home with my family and our dogs...we are very addicted to our fur babies!  My husband is also a CCS teacher and HS baseball coach.  Together, we have a daughter entering college this year and a rising 4th grader.
