Hello! My name is Melissa Olivares and I am the ESL teacher at W.R. Odell Primary. 

My classroom is welcoming to all learners, honors cultural and linguistic diversity, and centers on mastering objectives set by the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. When you visit my classroom, you will see content lessons that engage students in the four domains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling internationally and when we cannot, we enjoy the beaches and mountains in the southern part of the United States.
