Whether you are enrolling for the first time or submitting a required re-enrollment form, all enrollments must align with your assigned Cabarrus County school based on your home address. You can find your assigned school using the Find My School Tool.
You will start by completing the online enrollment form as outlined below, then await instructions from your home/zoned school on anything required to complete the enrollment process.
Families who are not able to complete the online process should contact the data manager at their home/zoned school. A school representative will contact you by telephone to assist with completing the online enrollment process.

Parents/ Legal Guardians of students new to the district will be asked to upload the following documents. Please make sure you have these ready when starting the electronic enrollment process. Please contact the school if you are unable to provide any of the listed documents.
1. Photo Identification of Parent/Legal Guardian
- Sources may include: Driver's License or Identification Card, Matricula Consular, Work Authorization Card, Border Crossing Card, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, Visitor's Visa
2. Two Proofs of Residence (one from each source)- Source 1: Deed, current lease, closing, settlement statement or property tax statement showing the property is owned or rented by you and is within the school's boundaries
- Source 2: Current utility bill with the correct address, recent pay stub, Medicaid card, or motor vehicle registration.
3. Child's Birth Certificate
4. Child's Immunization Records
Students who do not have this medical information completed 30 days following the start of school will not be allowed to attend until the requirements are met.
If your child has current immunizations please scan and email these to your school's registrar or enrollment liaison.
5. Health Assessment
Effective July 1, 2016 every child entering in a NC public school for the first time must submit proof of a Health Assessment within 30 days of the start of school
If your child has had a physical or well check in the last year and you can access your healthcare provider, please have them complete the form and return to you. Please scan or forward the health assessment to your school's registrar or enrollment liaison as soon as possible. You must submit this form within 30 days from the return to school. For example, if school returned on May 18 you would have 30 calendar days to submit the form.

Cabarrus County Schools welcomes you and your child to kindergarten! Registering your child during our spring registration helps facilitate a smooth transition into kindergarten! Any child who reaches the age of five years old on or before August 31, 2023 is eligible to register for Kindergarten.
We are excited to offer early registration beginning February 1, 2023.

When registering for kindergarten, you will need the following documents:
- Photo ID of Parent/Legal Guardian
- Child's Birth Certificate with Parent name(s)
- Child's Immunization Record
- Proof of Domicile (2 required, see below)
- Source 1: Deed, lease, closing, settlement statement or property tax statement showing the property is owned or rented by you and is within the school's boundaries
- Source 2: Current utility bill with the correct address, recent pay stub, Medicaid card, or motor vehicle registration
- Kindergarten Health Assessment and Immunizations: This is required by North Carolina Statute. Students who do not have this completed after 30 days following the start of school will not be allowed to attend until the requirements are met. All schools and local physicians are aware of the requirements and have the proper forms that are needed for documentation.

Kindergarten Early Entry Information
Early admission to kindergarten is defined by North Carolina General Statute 115-364(d) and states:a child who has reached the age of 4 on or before April 16 may enter kindergarten if: The child is presented for enrollment no later than the end of the first month of the school year; and the principal of the school finds, based on information submitted by the child's parent or guardian, that the child is gifted and that the child has the maturity to justify admission to the school. A child eligible to enter school early shall be precocious in academic and social development and score at the 98th percentile on a standard individual test of aptitude and achievement, that shall be administered by a licensed psychologist (click on "state policy" link above to review entire policy). * Cabarrus County Schools does not administer nor pay for the administration of early admission tests.

Any student moving from one school to another within Cabarrus County Schools because of a change in address or chosen school transfer (EC, Opportunity School and other county-directed moves not included) should complete an In-District Re-Enrollment form.
Cabarrus County Schools is using the Scribbles on-line enrollment system to allow parents the ability to complete this process from their laptop, cell phone, or desktop computer.
There is no need to come to any of our buildings to update enrollment. Parents will be required to utilize their account in Scribbles and provide two approved sources of address verification information. Parents should be sure to have their child's PowerSchool number on hand when starting this process.
