Hello! 

My name is Ms. Meredith Tubbs and I am thrilled to begin my third year as a first-grade teacher. We are going to have a fun year full of exploring, learning, and new adventures! I want to know more about you, but first, I am going to tell you a few things about myself.

I was born and raised in Iowa. I graduated from Cornell College in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology. After, I worked as a TA in an elementary school for six years. I loved my job so much that I returned to school in 2017 to learn how to be a teacher. In May 2020, I graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and endorsements in Reading and Special Education.

I moved to North Carolina in January 2020 for student teaching. I love the warmer weather here, especially during the winter months. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, doing projects, watching movies, shopping, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

I am excited about being your teacher and I cannot wait for you to be part of our class!
