I am a product of Cabarrus County Schools. After attending Winecoff Elementary School, I graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School. I graduated from Catawba College and went on to get a Master's Degree from UNCC in Elementary Education. I am also a Certified Reading Teacher and certified to teach English as a Second Language and certified to be a Mentor. I taught thirty three years in the regular classroom. I have been a Reading coach for teachers and a reading teacher. This is my eighth year teaching ESL in Cabarrus County Schools.

When I am not teaching, I am spending my time with my family and  friends.
