Ms. Valerie Price

I am originally from Beallsville, Maryland.  Good luck finding that on a map.  It is a small town in Montgomery County.  I love to travel home when I get the opportunity!

I moved to NC in 1989 with my family.  I graduated from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System (CMS) and completed my Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2000 from UNCC. I later obtained my Master's degree from UNCC, graduating May 2016.

My teaching experience has taken me from Stanly County Schools to CMS and finally to Cabarrus County Schools, here at Pitts.  I have taught grades 3-6 over my 21 years of teaching and can't find a favorite, but have been very fulfilled for the last 16 years at Pitts. This year I will be embarking on my fourth consecutive year teaching 5th grade.

I am very fortunate to have found a wonderful home in Concord; being central to the beach and the mountains of NC has made our adventures never-ending.  I thrive on learning new ideas and always try to incorporate those experiences into my teaching.

One day I hope to show my kids the world!
