Here is a little about me. 

I am a native of Tampa, Florida where I taught Spanish for grades PK4-8.   I have lived in this area for over 20 years. This is my 15th year in Cabarrus County and my 10th year in 2nd grade at Pitts. However,  I've been around since the school first opened in 2005. My son was in the original Kindergarten class that graduated from 5^th grade in 2011. I was also part of the first two PTO boards and substituted quite a bit during the school’s first years.

I have been married to my husband almost 30 years and we have an adult son and two grandson who have stolen our hearts.  I am also the mom of two kitties, Lucy & Pebbles, and a Great Dane pup named Buttercup.  I love to cook, read, do crafts, and travel.  And, I love to teach!  I mean I REALLY love to teach.  I am ever so humbled every year at the tremendous responsibility I am given of educating the minds of little folk while caring for their physical and emotional well-being.  

I promise to care for your child each and every day.  I promise to encourage them, to help them reach their fullest potential, and to foster curiosity and a passion for learning.   This year we will all learn a lot, even me!!
