Mrs. O'Leary

Hello! Welcome to the PSRES Art Page. I am the art teacher, Mrs. O'Leary! 

I have been at Pitts for 1 year and have really loved getting to know each of the amazing students here. The creativity and imagination of each child at Pitts is overflowing. I have many fun art activities planned for the 2022-2023 school year. 

I have been teaching art for 5 years in total. I recently moved here from Indiana, where I went to Indiana Wesleyan University to earn my bachelors degree in Art Education and taught in Indianapolis for 4 years. I moved to North Carolina to be close to my family who has always lived in the Charlotte area. 

My husband and I have a daughter named Zelda and two cats! Family is very important to me. The kids at Pitts always like to see the pictures of my family hanging in my classroom. 

When I am not teaching art, I like to read fantasy books, watch Disney movies and go on walks around the parks in Concord!
