Registration 2023 - Rising 9th Graders
Getting Started
-
Registration 2023 kicks off with Program Choice events for Rising 9th Graders. Events will span from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023 and beyond. Students and families will find helpful information here and on other high school and district webpages. We look forward to working with you!
Step 1: Registration Information
-
Step One in the process of registering for your classes for 2023-24 involves educating and empowering yourself. The following video is a recording of the Rising Freshmen Information Night that took place on Thursday evening, February 17th. The same presentation was also shared to students at Harris Road Middle School on February 17th by the Cox Mill High School School Counselors (Counselors will be visiting Winkler Middle and JN Fries Middle in the next few weeks).
During this video, you will...
- Receive an overview from administration and academic teachers.
- Learn about the differences between middle school and high school.
- Review graduation requirements.
- Understand the remaining steps of the Registration 2023 process.
After you've looked over the presentation, please proceed to Step Two: Materials and Planning.

- What's Next?
- Counselors will be visiting the following feeder middle schools to have students add their courses into the PowerSchool system, make any adjustments and ask any last questions to counselors before submitting them.
- Harris Road Middle: March 6 - 9
- Counselors will be visiting the following feeder middle schools to have students add their courses into the PowerSchool system, make any adjustments and ask any last questions to counselors before submitting them.
- Parents: Due to CMHS Counselors working on high school and rising 9th grade registrations, simultaneously, we are unable to entertain individual registration meetings. Students will have the opportunity to speak with counselors multiple times throughout the registration process. We ask that all questions happen during those times. If you happen to have questions outside of those times, please email your 8th grade counselor and they can assist. Thank you so much for your understanding!
- Students: We thank you for following our registration process and look forward to meeting each of you in the upcoming weeks!
