Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive competition between schools of Cabarrus County. Students grades 4th-5th can sign up to participate. Students will be encouraged to read from a pre-selected list from the North Carolina School Library Media Association (NCSLMA). The competition involves a team of students who have read the books from the pre-selected list, to compete in answering questions based on those books. For students, an easy study guide has been created with summaries, book trailers, author pronunciations, author talks, and games. This site can be accessed here.
