Mrs. Melissa Bowman

 Welcome To 3rd Grade!   

     My name is Melissa Bowman and I love being a part of the 3rd grade team at Patriot’s! Most importantly, I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher! I have many wonderful activities planned to engage your child throughout the school year. It is going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can not wait to see what the school year has in store for us!

          I grew up in Howell, New Jersey. After high school, I moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. (Go Niners!) I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am married to Ryan Bowman and have four wonderful boys – Brandon, AJ, Carter and Drew. I love spending time with my family, especially game night and watching them participate in team sports.  I have been teaching children for over 20 years! During that time, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade, was a Director of a Preschool, and a Drama Kids instructor. 

        Some of my favorite things are… Coffee, Laughing, Math, Chocolate, Dancing, Bagels, STEM, Science Experiments, Reading A Good Book, Listening To Music, Watching Football,  Basketball, Eating Out, Shopping Online, and Playing Outside With My Boys and Dogs.

      I care about every student! I value their ideas, thoughts and actions. I can not wait to discover each student’s unique talents and strengths and to have them share those with their classmates!
